Devotions

The following links consist of the Bible devotions created by Michael John Nisbett. Each set of devotions contains five Bible texts on a specific topic. Then commentary is made on each text to bring out its full meaning. Through this, I hope that your faith in Jesus Christ will be strengthened, your knowledge of the Bible will be broadened and your responsibility to your Creator made clearer. We all must know WHO WE ARE and WHY WE ARE HERE.

Daily Bible Text

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:4.

Daily Thought

Even the church, which should be the pillar and ground of the truth, is found encouraging the selfish love of pleasure. When money is to be raised for religious purposes, to what means do many churches resort? To bazaars, suppers, fancy fairs, even to lotteries, and like devices.

Christ's Object Lessons, p. 54.
